Abstract: The objective of this investigation was guided to the determination of the voluntary consumption and yield to the channel in chickens of it puts on weight fed with residual search crop of Theobroma cocoa L, 300 chickens were used between males and females of 15 days of age, during the course of 45 days he/she is given 3 diets (treatments), 10 repetitions for treatment. The diets consisted on the inclusion of flour of it cracked it of the ear of cocoa (HCMC): for T1 (concentrated commercial or witness), T2 (15% HCMC), T3 (30% HCMC). The variables to consider were: Gain of weight, voluntary Consumption, Yield to the channel. The results regarding the voluntary consumption is not difference (P = 0.0677) was observed, with the highest T3 (136.39g / day) value. While in weight gain difference (P = 0.0001) was observed between treatments, being the highest weight gain T1 and T2 (70.73 and 60.52 g / day) respectively. With regard to the yield to the channel difference is not observed (P=0.0001) among treatments being that of more yield T1 (77.75 kg). It can be concluded that residues post harvest cocoa can be included in the diet of broilers up to 15%, due to its nutritional properties improving productive performance.
Description: El objetivo de esta investigación se orientó a la determinación del consumo voluntario y rendimiento a la canal en pollos de engorde alimentados con residuos pos cosecha de Theobroma cacao L, se emplearon 300 pollos entre machos y hembras de 15 días de edad, durante el transcurso de 45 días se le suministro 3 dietas (tratamientos), 10 repeticiones por tratamiento. Las dietas consistieron en la inclusión de harina de la cascara de la mazorca de cacao (HCMC): para T1 (concentrado comercial o testigo), T2 (15% HCMC), T3 (30% HCMC). Las variables a considerar fueron: Ganancia de peso, Consumo voluntario, Rendimiento a la canal. Los resultados con relación al consumo voluntario no se observa diferencia (P= 0.0677), siendo el de mayor valor T3 (136.39g/día). Mientras que en la ganancia de peso se observó diferencia (P=0.0001) entre tratamientos, siendo los de mayor ganancia de peso T1 y T2 (70.73 y 60.52 g/día) respectivamente. Con respecto al rendimiento a la canal no se observa diferencia (P=0.0001) entre tratamientos obteniendo el mayor valor T1 y T2 (77.75 y 76.71kg) respectivamente. Se puede concluir que los residuos de pos cosecha de cacao pueden ser incluidos en la dieta de los pollos de engorde hasta un 15%, debido a sus propiedades nutritivas mejorando el comportamiento productivo.
