dc.descriptionEl presente proyecto busca sintetizar la historia del telar de Salasaca y el arte del tejido como un aporte al sector de la indumentaria. El telar autóctono de este sector tungurahuense es el telar de cintura, elemento emblemático que perdura desde su asentamiento, con algunas transformaciones, y ha favorecido a su desarrollo. Esta pieza primordial desarrollada por la sociedad incaica durante el siglo XIV, acompañó a la cultura Salasaca desde su trasiego durante el siglo XV y trajo consigo el arte del tejido en el telar de cintura. Luego, con la llegada de los españoles, que traen consigo el telar de pedal, el mismo que se adoptó en tierras americanas aportando a la técnica con la rapidez, mejorando así el arte del tejido. En el transcurso del siglo XVII y XVIII con la manufactura impuesta por la nobleza española, se dio lugar al crecimiento de galpones con la producción de algodón y telas de consumo popular. Para el siglo XIX, luego de quitarse el yugo español, los indígenas logran un grado de libertad, creando talleres artesanales en sus propias casas y continuaron con el telar de cintura autóctono; pero, transformando la forma del telar español al elaborarlo con sus propios materiales y empleando en sus creaciones los jeroglíficos de los incas. La compilación histórica, documental y gráfica de la investigación, valida la evolución y transformación del Telar de Salasaca, sumado al recorrido etnográfico insitu y el conversatorio con los taitas de la comunidad, que atestiguan el devenir del telar en la historia. De esta manera el aporte del presente escrito académico hacia la indumentaria radica en dar a conocer, aparte de su historia, el telar de cintura y la técnica del tejido artesanal para que diseñadores y diversos actores sociales implementen en sus procesos este arte textil. En el epílogo este escrito académico abre un camino al recorrido histórico del telar y el dominio de su técnica convirtiéndose en un elemento social.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis project aims to summarize the history of Andean Salasaca loom industry and the art of weaving. The native loom from Salasaca or better called waist loom is the emblematic element of this province and has a history from their very beginnings with some transformations improving his presentation. This essential piece of art developed by the Inca society during the fourteenth century, has remained with the Salasaca culture since its settlement during the fifteenth century and brought the art of weaving on the called waist loom. Then with the arrival of the Spaniards, who introduced pedal weaver machines, which was adopted on American lands and quickly improving the speed of production and so the art of it. During the seventeenth and eighteenth century with the manufacturing imposed by the Spanish nobility, took place the growth of storehouses with cotton production and of inexpensive fabrics. By the nineteenth century, after reaching the independence from Spain, native indians achieve freedom creating craft workshops in their own homes and they continued with their native waist loom But transforming the shapes and images of the Spanish loom to their own typical inca style work. The graphic compilation of research validates the evolution and transformation of the Andean Loom industry in Salasaca, We must add the historic background that testifies the permanence and the evolution of the Salasaca loom industry in our country. The purpose of this academic report is not only to show the history and the evolution and survival of the ancestral techniques in waving and loom. But to inspire new designers to follow the techniques so they remain as a patrimony in history of Salasaca community and Ecuadorian art and History. The epilogue of this academic report opens a way to an historical journey of the loom and mastery of his art becoming a social element.es_ES
