Resumen : The present investigation was carried out in order to determine which of the following proposed treatments would give better result when evaluating the effectiveness of Trichoderma harzianum for the control of Sclerotiun cepivorum in the cultivation of bulb onion in the Cevallos Canton - Ecuador. We used two well-defined variables: Dose and Frequency. The doses were 2g / L, 4g / L and 6g / L, while the frequencies were 7 days, 14 days and 21 days. The factors to be determined in the bulb were: polar diameter, equatorial diameter, incidence, severity and yield. We used the design of Completely Random Blocks, (3x3 + 1 witness), with three repetitions. For the study of the variables, the statistical test was applied with a Tukey 5% comparison, resulting in the severity, which was calculated based on the sample taken (10 individuals / block) for each block, as the best treatment for D3F1 ( Dose of 6g / L at 7 days). In this treatment, a severity percentage of 4% was presented, followed by D3F2 treatment (6g / L dose at 14 days) with a percentage of 10%. On the other hand, the best performance was presented in the treatment D2F3 (dose of 4g / L at 21 days) with a total of 7,14 kg / m2. Followed by the treatment D3F1 (dose of 6g / L at 7 days) with an average of 6,67 kg / m2. Obtaining the best dose and frequency is the D3F1 treatment (dose of 6g / L at 7 days), since its level of severity (4%) is acceptable within the agronomic parameters, and the significant performance (6,67 kg/m2) compared to the other treatments. Key words: Trichoderma harzianum, Sclerotium cepivorum, incidence, severity.
