Evaluación de un filtro artesanal de efluentes generados por una lubricadora en la ciudad de Latacunga, a base de piedra volcánica, piedra pómez, carbonato de calcio y algas

Abstract

To realize the evaluation of the handmade filter, it was considered to be different types of physical and chemical analysis taking into consideration such parameters like: Turbidity, Potential Hydrogen (pH), Total Suspended Solids (SST), Total Solids (ST), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (DBO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (DQO), Oils and Fats and (TPH). The effectiveness of the filter, it happens in a period of 36 days, during which, the sampling is realized two times for week, necessary time to generate the study of the results as soon as it has to do to the parameters earlier mentioned, entrusting the reliability of the analysis to the Municipal Company of Drinking water and Sewerage of Ambato EP-EMAPA; as well as also, in the laboratories of Lacquanálisis S.A. The handmade filter is articulated in a wooden structure, distributed in three spaces, which dimensions are the following ones: 1m of height * 1.50m of length, in which the components of the filter were located in three different segments: the waste water originated from the lubricating one and washer of cars is located in the segment of major height, the duckweed “Lemna minor” in the segment two and the calcium carbonate, stone pumice and volcanic stone in the lowest segment of the structure. On having obtained the reports of results of the physical and chemical analysis, it is established that they expire with the permissible limits stipulated in the Unified Text of Secondary Legislation of the Department of the Ambience (TULSMA), and in turn on having verified the percentage of removal, it is possible to be proved that the materials used in the process of filtration reflected an effectiveness high degree.
