It was sought to determine how much trust there is towards our local governments, the current political system and people, evaluate their participation, reasons for why citizens participate and their intention to participate in elections and the attributes to choose their authorities, a validated survey of the same type of research was applied, made by the Pol Center Public policies of the University of Chile in 2016, which served as a guide for the development of this research in the province of Tungurahua, the descriptive statistics applied to a sample of the population with its respective weighting was used therefore to obtain more data reliable for its final analysis, the relevant results were the low levels of knowledge and trust of the citizens, finally the perception on the management was negative in great majority at the provincial level.es_ES
