Abstract: The objective of this study was to compare the executive profile in children with and without low school performance of the Educational Unit Jerusalem. A design of descriptive and correlational type was used. The study population was 72 children of both genders between the ages of 6 and 12 years, from second to seventh grade. They were evaluated through the Neuropsychological Evaluation of Executive Functions in children and current grades reported by teachers. The results found were that the executive profile of boys and girls with low school performance presented similar levels in some domains and deficient in others, unlike the executive profile of boys and girls without low school performance who showed better scores in some domains and similarities. When performing the Mann Whitney U statistical test it was found that executive functions influence academic performance, with 99% reliability, indicating a directly proportional relationship between the variables.
