Description: The purpose of this research work is to identify the value of the shares of footwear companies in the province of Tungurahua, under various traditional methods, and their influence on the cost of capital. In the development of the research, the adjustment factors that influence the real calculation of the actions and the cost of capital were determined. The information used in this investigation was obtained in the databases published on the web pages of the regulatory institutions such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance, as well as third related sources such as the Central Bank of Ecuador, National Institute of Statistics and Censuses, Ministry of Finance, allowing an analysis and processing of the variables in the years of study, in which values and market trends were identified that influence the calculation of the value of the shares and the cost of capital. A correct valuation of shares and capital cost influence in a correct business decision making in financial matters; reason why, the present research work shows that not all business sectors can be evaluated in the same way, because in the same sector there are different types of companies (large, medium and small) with distinctive characteristics, and needs of appropriate factors for its correct valuation, and in this way the investor has additional information as relevant, for an assertive investment. Therefore, it was proposed to apply a methodology based on the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WAAC), in which through a Financial Assets Valuation Model (CAMP) and applying a risk factor (Beta) as one of Distinctive country risk, a more realistic and reasonable result was obtained, values that according to the type of company, were necessary for the valuation of them taking into account their projected cash flow; demonstrating that the study sector; in this case the footwear in the province of Tungurahua, can be properly valued with more real data to the economic environment in which they operate.
