dc.description | This study seeks to analyze the optimal financing structure in companies in the manufacturing sector of the city of Ambato by applying the weighted average cost of capital WACC. Consequently, it is also intended to examine the conditions of the sector's capital structure and evaluate the cost of capital incurred by applying the WACC to companies in the industry. Finally, it seeks to propose an optimal financing structure that adjusts to the needs of the companies. To do this, first, the evolution of five indicators that quantify the capital structure of companies in the manufacturing sector was described. Subsequently, the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) indicator was calculated, to later propose the minimization of the indicator from a simulation carried out through the iteration of the values of the liability and equity accounts that allow their convergence to an optimal financing value. The study concluded that the weighted average cost of capital of the companies in the sector is moderate despite having experienced a considerable increase in the years 2015 and 2018. In addition, it was determined that an optimal financing structure would imply that liabilities should be reduced by a 2.89 percent and equity should increase by 18.70 percent. | es_ES |
| es_ES |
