    The aim of the research project was to determine the epidemiological profile of musculoskeletal injuries of the knee and ankle in personnel of the Armed Forces. In the last decades, the physical exigency of the military service has increased, being the physical training an activity that is practiced within the working hours with the purpose of obtaining a high level of physical aptitude, implementing different ways of working the body and thus generate The optimal development of the same. This leads to an increase in musculoskeletal injuries, which undoubtedly represents a loss of time, inefficiency in work and a decrease in military training The focus of this research was qualitative of documentary explanatory type because most of the information was found in the medical records; Considering a descriptive investigation, of a population of 366 patients were subtracted 231 patients who presented lesions in different areas except for knee and ankle, leaving 135 patients with skeletal muscle injuries of knee and ankle, 23 patients were excluded that were found outside the age range between 20 and 50 years, of which 64, people equivalent to 57%, had knee injuries, the most frequent patellar tendinitis, caused by direct mechanisms, being more likely the men from 38 to 43 years old: while 48 people, corresponding to 43%, had ankle injuries, the injury most common was the ankle sprain produced by direct mechanisms, being seen more affected the men from 32 to 37 years
