Item Sistema de estimulación de sentidos cognitivos en personas con capacidades especiales(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2021-03) Alajo Hinojosa, Saul David; Brito Moncayo, Geovanni DaniloABSTRACT People with special abilities have been a weak point within society due to their little autonomy, lack of learning and other factors, which is why this project describes various teaching techniques for people with special abilities, focusing on interaction between the educator and the student, for this reason, the research is oriented to the development of a system for stimulating the cognitive senses in people with special abilities, focusing on the visual and auditory sense in particular. The design of the system is based on a microcontroller that will generate sequences of color illumination commanded by a therapist from a control room, in the same way the auditory stimulation system will be commanded by said person, complemented by olfactory stimulation. The project consists of an augmented reality system which contributes to visual and auditory stimulation through projections of 3D objects. Augmented reality runs through a mobile application developed in Unity and Vuforia. The same one that consists of capturing a real image by means of a smartphone, processing it and displayed on a monitor, once the augmented scene is seen, two virtual buttons are displayed on the screen, which help to reproduce sounds characteristic of 3D objects and they also allow you to rotate and animate the object. In this way, the system implemented in the San Anián Foundation in the city of Ambato, allows people with special abilities to perform stimulations for a better development in their daily life.
