Item “Estrategias de afrontamiento y sindrome de burnout en personal de salud”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-10-01) Aldás Villacís, Ana Carolina; Robayo Carillo, Jessy Mariana Ps. Cl.The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between Coping Strategies and Burnout Syndrome from Chimbacalle Clinic staff at Quito city and from Santa Rosa Clinic staff at Ambato city. Coping Strategies are resources used by any person facing stressor situations, whether these external or environment related, and emotional or internal related; which avoid, decrease or solve personal and social troubles with the purpose of keep emotional equilibrium by cognitive and behavioral posture; coping Strategies will carry out due to Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI) which propose is to find out the kind of situations that provoke problems at every day life of people and the way they face them. The inventory counts with 8 dimensions. Besides, Burnout syndrome is defined as a labor ailment that causes both as physical and mental damage, also frustration and exhaustion as result of excessive burden, these symptoms are expressed in the human body because of stress, consequently keeping the person away form the personal realization. It is being evaluated by Maslach Burnout Inventory, which is formed by 3 dimensions, whose function is to measure the burnout. It is applied to 60 people from the clinic staff: 30 from Chimbacalle Clinic and 30 from Santa Rosa clinic. Data analysis was made by SPSS, a statistical programme, through the X2 proof and the exact significance of Chi-square test (0.7>0-05), which proves that there is no relation between variables, nevertheless Rho Spearman programme showed that actually exist a relationship between the dimensions of the coping strategies of emotional expresssions, social support and cognitive restructuring comparing with the dimension of realization of Burnout syndrome.
