    ANÁLISIS DE LA MENOPAUSIA Y APLICACIÓN DE LA TERAPIA HORMONAL COMO MANEJO TERAPÉUTICO

    Introduction: Menopause is not a disease, but rather a natural stage in a woman's life. During this period, several physiological changes occur that affect quality of life. Therefore, Hormone Replacement Therapy is considered the first-line treatment. Objective: To analyze the menopausal period and the effectiveness of the application of hormonal therapy as therapeutic management. Methodology: For this research, a literature review, selection of scientific articles and application of the PRISMA method was carried out. Results: 14 publications were obtained according to the inclusion, exclusion and keywords criteria for review. Discussion: Most women present vasomotor symptoms that affect their quality of life, therefore, hormone replacement therapy is the way to compensate for estrogen deficiency. Thanks to important studies carried out in recent decades, a controversy over the benefits and risks has subsided. potentials. Conclusions: Hormonal Therapy is safe in healthy women in the early menopausal period, corroborating that the treatment does reduce symptoms. The treatment is fully recommended for patients where their quality of life is being significantly affected.
