The good air quality is an important factor for people who are inside offices or houses, as poor air quality implies an accumulation of pollutants that can result in long-term health problems. Therefore, constant monitoring of pollutant accumulation can help prevent health issues in workers or household members. This project showcases the implementation of a prototype that allows for air quality measurement at the Technical University of Ambato, within its facilities such as the Faculty of Systems Engineering, Electronics, and Industrial Engineering, its classrooms, laboratories, open spaces like the university parking lot, among others. The prototype will be portable, allowing for indoor and outdoor use, along with an automatic power switching system that enables automatic changeover in case of a power outage. Monitoring will be conducted continuously on a cloud-hosted platform, displaying measurement data for Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Temperature, and Humidity.
