Item “Relaciones parentales y su influencia en el riesgo suicida en adolescentes”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2018-01-01) Cepeda Acosta, Adriana Estefanía; Gavilanes Manzano, Fanny Rocío Psc. Cl. Mg.The present investigation was based on the study of Parental Relations and its relation with Suicide Risk in teens of an Educational Institute in the city of Ambato located in the province of Tungurahua. The sample was taken from 140 teens between the ages of 14 and 17 years who were evaluated by psychological reagents. The "Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale" was used first, which evaluated the suicide risk, and later the "Parental Styles Questionnaire of Baumrind" which evaluated parental relationships. It is worth mention that the authoritative style was reflected in the majority of teens, which states that parents intend to manage their children's actions and behaviors in a rational manner offering them security in assuming their obligations. Finally, it was demonstrated that teens did not present suicidal risk. This indicated that the subjects present adequate and consolidated relationships that allow them to have a better emotional maturity. Some teens presented the possibility of suicidal risk, since they did not develop optimum parenting relationships, showing negligent style in them.
