    Desarrollo integral en cuidadoras informales de personas con discapacidad

    Caring for a person with a disability within the environment family is a situation that many people may experience at some point in their life. Home care for dependent people has been increasing, causing public institutions to view the family as the fundamental element for care, especially attached to women, causing various conditions within their development personal, social, professional, psychological, economic, and physical, being scarce the valuation on the part of the family, the governmental institutions and by the society. The research is descriptive and exploratory, with a sample of 115 informal caregivers, its objective is to determine the level of comprehensive development in informal caregivers of people with disabilities belonging to the Puyo parish. To carry out the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, based on the design of an instrument with 23 items, made up of 6 dimensions such as personal, social, professional, economic, psychological, and physical. Its content was validated through the criterion of expert judgment and its internal consistency by the Cronbach's Alpha method, through a pilot test of 15 informal caregivers belonging to the Shell parish. As a proposal to contribute to increasing the integral development of informal caregivers, it was decided to carry out a group intervention focused on the application of a self-care guide, allowing the target group to be the main actor through participation in practical workshops.
