The Pallo Sarabia Family Project has 6 floors, including the grandstand cover and basement, with a total height of 21.60m and is divided into 3 blocks 1A, 1B and 1C, since they are separated by two expansion joints. A seismic vulnerability analysis was carried out in order to determine the feasibility of changing the use of the building from a hotel to a hospital. For this reason, the building was modeled with its current use and a spectral modal analysis was carried out, where it was determined that the periods of vibration, the accumulation of the modal mass and the floor drifts do not comply with what is established in the NEC 2015 standard, in addition to presenting a torsional behavior due to the displacements produced by the building blocks. Subsequently, a non-linear static analysis was carried out, applying the methodologies provided by the ATC-40 and FEMA 440, where it was found that two of the three analyzed blocks did not reach the performance point against the different levels of seismic threat, while the The block where the performance point was obtained did not have the expected capacity according to the objectives established by the VISUAL 2000 regulations, cataloging the structure with a high degree of seismic vulnerability. Finally, it was shown that the building used as a hotel is not suitable for a change of building and a reinforcement study should be carried out.
