The World Health Organization has determined that cervical cancer is caused by Human Papillomavirus 16 and 18 that affects a large number of women in the world. The objective of this research study was to determine the degree of acceptability of the parents of the Educational Unit "Ana Páez" of the city of Latacunga before the application of the second dose of the vaccine against HPV. It is a prospective, exploratory and descriptive investigation in order to obtain information about the factors that affect the acceptability of the vaccine application. For the study population, a sample consisted of 76 parents of girls between 9 and 11 years of age, whose daughters received the first dose of the vaccine against the Human Papilloma Virus. The results show that 100% of those who participated in the research satisfactorily accepted that their daughters receive the second dose of the vaccine against the Human Papilloma Virus, stating that the degree of knowledge is a very important factor for the acceptance of it.
