Item Sistema electrónico de rehabilitación y monitoreo para personas que padecen la enfermedad de Parkinson(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-03) Cuchipe Diaz, Luis Humberto; Benalcázar Palacios, Freddy GeovannyParkinson is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder present in a large percentage of the population, which affects the quality of life of those who suffer from it. Health professionals in charge of treating Parkinson's disease must monitor the progress of their patients' treatment. Currently, thanks to technology it is possible to monitor and keep track in digital environments. In the present project a device was developed using open-source software. For monitoring uses an ESP8266 card and the MPU6050 sensor to obtain the acceleration in different orientations and based on these data calculate the amplitude and frequency of involuntary movements of patients, this information is sent to a database for storage and can be displayed graphically for better interpretation by the treating physician, which will allow him to make decisions regarding treatment and rehabilitation process. As a contribution to the rehabilitation process, the electronic system designed has an ESP8266 card and position switches to control the location of metallic spheres that are transported by the patient for muscle strengthening and fine motor management processes. Considering the rehabilitation standards applied in conventional fine motor therapy and the classification of tremors presented by a patient with Parkinson's disease, the results obtained in each of the tests performed with the electronic system developed demonstrate the reliability of the monitoring device for patient tracking and contribute significantly to rehabilitation processes through exercises that contribute to the strengthening of fine motor skills.
