    Diseño de indumentaria femenina mediante la aplicación de técnicas ancestrales ecuatorianas de pintura

    The continued progress of the textile industry is inevitable, despite the great benefits it can generate, there is a problem that contains harmful aspects that directly affect the diverse cultures of Ecuador, such as the obvious neglect and disinterest marked to ancestral knowledge to clothing decoration, so, that as time goes on indigenous traditions will disappear, slowly weakening the Ecuadorian cultural identity. This research project takes as a purpose the analysis of the ancient technique of painting on canvas, the Sapara ethnicity, in order to upgrade by designing women's clothing, which aspires to help spread this ancient tradition preserve the cultural richness of this ethnic group. For the execution of the work has been carried out field research based on observation, which was made in the Ethno-Archaeological Museum of Puyo, also with the intention of obtaining sufficient data to help meet the goals it has set conduct a poll which includes a series of questions, which yielded results that contribute to the views of the target group. In the end, the survey found impressive results, as 100% of respondents unaware of the technique of painting on fabric saparas, but 97% believe it should be disseminated, like the same 97% of the population claims it would be interesting to apply vegetable dyes in clothing design, information that was very useful for the proper performance of the project, obtaining clear guidelines to develop a quality clothing with features to surface the important aspects of the Sapara community, getting garments cultural identity favoring the preservation of this tradition, maintaining the cultural richness of Ecuador
