Item El rol paterno y el desarrollo psicosocial en adolescentes(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-02) Espinosa Calvopiña, David Santiago; Pino Loza, Eulalia DoloresPsychosocial development is a multidimensional and continuous process that encompasses psychological and social aspects of an individual's life throughout his or her life cycle. On the other hand, the paternal role refers to the function, responsibilities and behaviors that a father plays in the life of his children. Thus, the relationship between these variables creates a hypothesis that adolescents raised in environments with balanced and affectionate parental practices tend to have higher self-esteem and self-confidence. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the influence of the parental role in the psychosocial development of adolescents, using a qualitative research approach, with a descriptive scope and a narrative type of research that analyzes the particular phenomenon from a holistic perspective. The data collection instrument used was the interview applied to a total of 20 individuals, being the sample 10 students of the law, social work and social communication careers of the Technical University of Ambato, each one of them with their respective parents, to whom an interview with 15 questions was applied. Among the results it was found that the factors of psychosocial development in adolescents are the expression and management of emotions, self-esteem, decision making, autonomy and the construction of personal and professional goals
