The design, construction and simulation of a permanent magnet synchronous generator of radial flow is presented, which can be used in a pico hydroelectric plant located in an Ambato - Huachi - Pelileo irrigation canal and allows users to benefit from electrical energy in areas of difficult access, in the province of Tungurahua in Ecuador. Once the design was made and its main characteristics were determined, a guide file was made with the main equations in Matlab to observe the most important parameters to consider when building the prototype. SolidWorks was used for the elaboration of 3D modeling of each one of the parts of the generator, in order to create a suitable prototype and finally in ANSYS for its electromagnetic analysis. A three-phase generator has been built that consists of 12 poles, it operates at a frequency of 60 [Hz], its nominal voltage is 12 [V] per phase, which must be rectified and inverted in order to take advantage of it. The data collection was carried out through serial communication between an Arduino card and a NODEMCU, and in this way sent to a database, which was created in the Debian operating system that uses Raspberry Pi, for the creation of a friendly graphical environment with the user. In the end, the validation of the prototype's operation was carried out by comparing the measured data of this with those that were granted by the simulation.
