Item Uso de nuevas tecnologías en tiempos de pandemia en la formación de los estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Flores Huilcatoma, Nataly Silvana; Martínez García, Diana Nancy Ing.Introduction: The declaration of pandemic time due to the outbreak and worldwide spread of COVID-19, has caused several changes, especially in the educational system, when adapting to the virtual study modality. This is how the training of nursing professionals has been compromised by the ability to access to technological resources that online learning requires. Objective: To analyze the use of new technology during the pandemic time in the training of Nursing Students at Technical University of Ambato. Method: Quantitative study at a descriptive level with a cross section, taking a sample of 284 undergraduate students, to whom a specific survey was applied based on the questionnaire used in the research "Educational challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic" under a scale of Closed and multiple-choice questions validated by experts from the National University of Mexico, which was adapted to 13 items directed to the study area, reaching a reliability level of 0.951. Results: 95% of students have adopted new technology to receive online classes, from these, 52% use cell phones to access to educational platforms. Besides, 70% of these cases have manifested problems in the use of digital media, which has caused 76% of Nursing students to consider that it contributes little to their professional training. Conclusion: Nursing Career Students from the Technical University of Ambato have adopted the use of new technology for their training during the pandemic time.
