    Breast milk is the ideal food for infants since it is safe, clean and contains antibodies that protect against childhood diseases. It is one of the most effective ways to guarantee the health and survival of children; According to the WHO and UNICEF, non-breastfed children show lower performance on intelligence tests, are more likely to be overweight or obese and suffer from diabetes, the incorrect marketing of substitutes has led to the creation of strategies to improve breastfeeding rates and its duration. The objective of this research was to evaluate the relationship between the type of breastfeeding and the nutritional status in children under 2 years of age at the “Consentidos” early and multisensory stimulation center in the Izamba parish, for which a type of research was planned. cross-sectional descriptive observational study, a survey was used that was applied to the parents in order to collect information on the type and duration of breastfeeding received by the children in the study, and anthropometric measurements were also taken: weight and height for determine nutritional status. As a result of the research, it was found that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and normal nutritional status (p= 0.01). Therefore, it can be concluded that the relationship between the type of breastfeeding and nutritional status is significant.
