Funcionalidad familiar y bienestar psicológico en adultos
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-09-14) Cargua Silva, Nayeli Anahís; Gaibor González, Ismael Alvaro
The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between family functionality (FF) and psychological well-being (BP) in adults. The sample consisted of 93 adults, 44.1% men and 55.9% women belonging to a Catholic religious group in the provinc es of Pastaza (49.5%), Napo (6.5%), Morona Santiago (2.2%), Tungurahua (39.8%) and Cotopaxi (2.2%) in Ecuador. The research design was quantitative, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional. The results showed a slight positive correlation (Rho= 0.498, p<0.001) between both variables, with a predominance of normal family functionality (41.9%) and high psychological well-being (52.7%) in this population. In addition, there were no significant differences in family functionality according to gender. In summary, it was found that in adults belonging to the Catholic religious grouping, the higher the perceived family functionality, the higher their psychological well-being tended to be.
