The purpose of this research is to determine correlations between the Index and Mechanical Properties with the laboratory CBR, for the execution of the project, 12 different samples of the surrounding soil were taken from the 3 main roads of importance of two parishes in the canton Ambato, Juan Benigno Vela and Pilahuín. After sampling, the respective field and laboratory tests were performed to determine the multiple properties of the soil samples analyzed. Once the necessary data for each soil sample was obtained, the correlation between its index and mechanical properties was carried out, resulting in a total of 29 correlations generated from two and three variables. The level of reliability of these correlations ranges from 53 to 86 percent, varying from one to the other with the number of samples analyzed as a whole, which in general can be translated into correlations of a good degree of reliability. With regard to the determination of the CBR of the project by means of the correlations raised for its application in a layout of a pavement structure in granular soils, it can be said that they have a good relationship with a minimum error based on the real value calculated by means of laboratory tests. These correlations are specifically designed for use on uniform granular soils.
