Item Valoración de Tsh y su relación con el Índice de Masa Corporal en pacientes obesos.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Laboratorio Clínico, 2016-01-01) López López, Lorena Abigail; Guaygua Silva, Ana Gabriela BQ.F.This research project is the determination of the concentrations of the hormone TSH in outpatients presenting a BMI classified as obese, attending the Regional Teaching Hospital Ambato and are older than 29 years. The main objective is to find the relationship between the weight of the patient and variation TSH hormone. It is intended to determine the age that affects obesity and what they have altered hormone TSH. Similarly identify which mainly affected sex. Moreover whether cigarette smoking is a factor altering the concentration d of the hormone. The serum concentration of TSH hormone is not a parameter that can be used directly to control the weight of the patient, because several factors are responsible for obesity. However concentration levels of TSH in conjunction with T3 and T4 values are vital requirement for the medical clinic collectively diagnosed with thyroid disease patient. We talk about thyroid disease because the hypothyroid patient usually tends to be obese. The importance of assessing the TSH in patients with obesity is a fundamental pillar in the medical treatment that emits the same, especially to rule out or confirm a thyroid disease. The methodology was performed in the Clinical Laboratory Ambato Regional Teaching Hospital, 117 patients presenting with medical orders for TSH and obesity had occurred; through proper assessment of weight and size of the patient will be able to obtain the BMI classifying the patient as mild, moderate, morbid and analysis of hormone TSH obese we determine that in most obese patients hormone TSH is increased.
