    The research project "Artificial lighting and its relationship with the expressiveness of stone materials in interior design", promotes research and study in the field of artificial lighting, through study in design analyzed through experimentation and demonstration , with the purpose of improving the understanding that artificial light has as a tool for interior design and how it can modify the expressiveness of indigenous stone materials from the city of Ambato province of Tungurahua, Ecuador. This project tries to demonstrate the importance of artificial lighting and therefore its value in the field of interior design, and how it works and promotes new fields of application of this research, leaving artificial lighting aside as a technical field and more. well as a generator of useful pleasant spaces that under the use of interior design can serve to renew spaces already built and which are lacking in design. For which the project was based on bibliographic, technical and laboratory research, with a focus for design and reaching this purpose, critical analysis is used, generating new knowledge. Data collection techniques and instruments were used, promoted by specialists in lighting design.
