Ft. Mg.
The objective of this study is to determine the effect of a physiotherapeutic intervention program on shoulder internal rotation deficiency in GIRD athletes, which was carried out at the Tungurahua Sports Federation. Fifty athletes from different disciplines who presented shoulder internal rotation deficiency were evaluated using the goniometric test to measure ROM, CKCUEST and SMBT to evaluate stability and power of the upper limbs. The results of the Student's t-test for the ROM of the internal rotation of the right and left shoulder before and after the intervention show that for both the ROM of the right arm (0.000) and the ROM of the left arm (0.000), there are significant differences between the measurements, since the p-value obtained is less than alpha (0.05). This implies that the null hypothesis is rejected, i.e. the application of sleeper stretch and cross-body stretch were effective in the goniometric test for internal rotation GIRD.
