In the present project, we analyze the coverage of the wireless internet system outside the faculties of the Huachi campus of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Internet connectivity has become an indispensable tool for academic, administrative and research activities. However, inconsistent coverage and low signal areas negatively affect the experience of the university community. A detailed diagnosis of the current network infrastructure was performed using tools such as heatmaps generated with Acrylic Wi-Fi Heatmaps and technical data analysis. The results identified deficiencies in coverage and connectivity, particularly in outdoor areas, due to factors such as channel interference and suboptimal location of access points. In addition, signal strength, latency, and speed levels at 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies were evaluated. Based on the analysis, an optimized wireless network model was proposed that includes the strategic relocation of access points, channel configuration adjustments, and the implementation of advanced devices with Wi-Fi 6 technologies. This model seeks to ensure uniform coverage, improve service quality, and optimize the user experience. This project concludes that a robust and well-designed infrastructure is crucial to meet the current and future connectivity needs of the university campus. In addition, it highlights the importance of establishing continuous monitoring and preventive maintenance policies to ensure the sustainability of the implemented improvements
