Cl. Mst.
The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between family functionality (FF) and subjective well-being (SWB) in high school students; a sample of 121 students from an educational unit in the city of Pelileo-Ecuador between 14 and 19 years of age with an average of 15.5 years, 41.3% of whom were male and 58.7% female. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational study was carried out. As a result, a positive correlation was found between family functionality and subjective wellbeing, with a predominance of moderately functional families and average subjective well-being in the sample. In conclusion, one of the determinants in the adequate development of subjective well-being is the family, since if adolescents are in a dysfunctional family this will be reflected in a low level of SWB.
