Item Diseño sostenible de un sistema hidrosanitario de una casa unifamiliar en el cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2022-06) Maldonado Andrade, Jennifer Gabriela; Frías Torres, Alex XavierIn Ecuador, the requirement for drinking water in homes has increased over the years and with it the production of wastewater. Excessive consumption and lack of water treatment is a problem that affects the health of people and the environment, so it is vitally important to seek methods that focus on the sustainable consumption of this resource. The following methodology was used for the project: documentary, field and experimental, with a quantitative orientation for hydraulic calculation. The technical work focuses on the design of a hydro-sanitary system that reduces domestic consumption of drinking water from the public network, through the collection of rainwater and the reuse of gray water from showers and sinks. For which the design divided the conventional drainage system, leading the gray water to a treatment system made up of: a reception tank, a grease trap and a commercial filter; in order to be able to use the treated gray water in domestic activities that do not require direct contact with users and do not pose a risk to them.
