Item La comprensión lectora y el rendimiento académico en el área de Lenguaje y Literatura,de los niños del cuarto año del Centro de Educación General Básica "República de Venezuela"(Universidad Técnica de Ambato,Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la Educación., 2015) Manobanda Dávalos, Mónica del Pilar; Aldaz, MarceloThe underlying problem is the reading comprehension and academic performance in the area of language and literature of the seniors of the Center for General Education Basic "Republic of Venezuela" .The causes for this problem to occur is the is the use of traditional methods, the lack of appropriate teaching materials and practice reading which results in students the motivation to learn, misinterpretation of the texts, that a born to develop in them an d hence low learning underachievement so low reading comprehension in learning formula. Information sources to conduct research which helped us to develop the theoretical framework with respect to the two variables was collected. The survey questionnaire with their respective stakeholders to have statistical results and draw conclusions and recommendations are given. These results proved the objectives and hypotheses on Reading and its impact on academic performance. At the end strategies that help students to better Reading and improve academic performance during the school year as the educational community must commit to continue the use of strategies to achieve better reading comprehension was established and so the achieving students are participatory bodies themselves construct their own knowledge.
