At present, many people worldwide practice mountaineering. Andinists are always at risk of accidents, when such incidents occur at high altitudes or in remote areas, search and rescue operations are not always successful. It presents some difficulty in locating tourists on the Chimborazo volcano because there’s no precedent for the implementation of some kind of immediate location system and data monitoring. Consequently, in the present titling project, an electronic system for the location and monitoring of tourists in the Chimborazo volcano is implemented. To achieve this objective, a low-cost electronic kit was developed in order to track tourists using modules and digital sensors, as well as an emergency system in case of possible accidents. The collected information is transmitted to a server which will be hosted in cloud hosting, allowing remote monitoring through a web interface. Thus achieving a record of both the position in real time and previous dates. Allowing the authorities, rescuers and tourist guides to act quickly in the face of a possible risk situation
