Item Fístula colovesical en paciente con antecedentes de enfermedad diverticular de colon(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Medicina, 2020-10-01) Molina Pinto, Karol Dominique; Yépez Yerovi, Fabián Eduardo Dr. Esp.Colovesical fistula is the abnormal communication between the bladder and the large intestine, the causes related to this entity are mainly inflammatory and neoplastic, among the most frequent are Complicated Diverticular Disease (6579%), Colon Cancer (15-46%), Crohn's disease (7-15%). The clinical presentation is characterized by irritative symptoms, urinary infections, fecaluria and pneumaturia and the diagnosis is supported by complementary tests such as cystoscopy and computed tomography. Management is based on resection and closure of the colovesical fistula. The present case is about a 49-year-old female patient, with a personal pathological history of diverticular disease approximately 4 years ago, admitted to the general surgery area for diverticulitis 1 month ago. She comes to the hospital due to intense abdominal pain located in the hypogastrium that is accompanied by fever and pneumaturia that after evaluation by the surgery service was diagnosed as perforated diverticulitis and the presence of a colovesical fistula was confirmed by an abdominal CT, after surgical resolution was decided, and patient didn't show any complications.
