Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) Núñez Núñez, Christian Andrés; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaThe present research project proposes to carry out a times and motion study in the company Splendid su Lavandería for garment washing service in order to standardize and seek improvements in the process. The current situation of the company has been identified by collecting important information regarding all its processes and facilities through direct observation of each area and talks with the workers, in addition, a survey was applied to general manager because she knows all the processes. An ABC study of historical data of the company was applied, managing to identify that regular washing service (washing by weight) has greater profitability, in this service entire study reflected in the document is focused. To obtain the necessary data for the development of project, a time measurement was carried out by timing, at the same time that activities and movements carried out by each worker in their area are detailed; The information obtained is organized through tables, flowcharts, layout and bimanual diagrams. Among the improvements, it is proposed to increase service capacity of bottleneck, in addition to make changes in the current plant layout by applying the SLP method (Systematic Plant Layout Planning); and to visualize changes made, a simulation was developed in FlexSim. Finally, the procedure manuals of the process were elaborated, as well as instructions for the folding area and for the management of the software used for the invoicing and registration of garments, managing to help employees in execution of their activities, being these a guide to obtain planned results; of the proposals, a reduction of 16.94% in the total distance traveled and an improvement of 28.12% in its service capacity are calculated.
