    Aplicación de la metodología SMED en los procesos de conformado de la Empresa ECUAMATRIZ Cía. Ltda.

    ABSTRACT The present investigation is focused on the application of the methodology Single Minute Exchange of Dies or better known as (SMED), for the reduction of times in the preparation of the machinery and the influence that it presents on the size of the lot, so that the company in study Ecuamatriz Cia. Ltda. can diminish the time of change of matrix in the processes of Conformed and have more time to produce the demanded products. The development of the project consists initially in the analysis of the current situation in the change of matrixes, for which the product that presents the greater demand has been identified by means of the methodology ABC and this way to know which is the product with more participation in the market and to focus the development of the work in the same one, in addition a study of Times and Movements for the processes of change of matrix was established in order to know the activities that intervene and with the times in which they are handled for the preparation of the machinery, also for the productive processes and knowledge of the capacities of production of the area of Conformed. On the other hand, VSM Flow Charts are established to widely identify improvement opportunities and eliminate waste from the die change processes. Finally, the methodology mentioned above is applied through its different stages that lead to the improvement of the external activities through the development of 5's in the tools of the Forming area and internal activities through the execution of parallel activities. In addition, the results obtained in the development of the research work are shown through a global summary of the values calculated before and after its application, of which the percentage of average reduction of 66.29 percent in machinery preparation time, and the average improvement of 28.91 percent in production capacity can be highlighted. Likewise, a simulation model is presented in the FlexSim software of the forming processes where the results found during the development of the investigation are represented.

    Estandarización del proceso de fabricación de tubos PVC en la Empresa HOLVIPLAS S.A.

    ABSTRACT The purpose of the research project is to standardize manufacturing processes within the company HOLVIPLAS S.A., the proposal is the important to improve the processes and optimize the times in their activities. The study was developed in the process of producing PVC drainage pipes, beginning with the collection of information on sales inventories of the year 2018 of the total products offered by HOLVIPLAS SA through the ABC Analysis where Class A items originate an estimated participation percentage of 80 percent of total sales, while Class B is estimated to range from 80 percent to 95 percent and Class C the remainder it is the total. In addition, the different production processes are identified by means of process survey cards, synoptic and analytical courses. Then the timing of time is developed through the traditional methodology using a preliminary time of each one of the activities of the subprocesses of weighing, mixing, extrusion, quality control and reprocessing. Finally, an analysis of the added value is developed, unnecessary downtime or unnecessary activities are eliminated and then proposing improvements and finally standardizing the processes through procedural manuals.

    ABSTRACT Managing processes is the first step to improve the company's work performance, therefore, standardized information guidelines add value and support to the management model to achieve continuous improvement opportunities in its processes, in order to satisfy the needs and customer expectations. The development of this research work exposes a process management in the operative area of the company "Sualú Curtidencia Suárez", in charge of the production and commercialization of bovine leather; the main problems of the company are that its employees carry out their activities without an adequate control, bas on experience and observation, the main objective is to have clear, orderly and concise documentation; for which, methods and tools are applied that help to develop a systematized procedure of work, starting with current situation analysis through the gathering of information and identification of activities that are developed in the operational area process map elaboration providing a global and concrete vision of all the organization's processes, in such a way that the basic mechanisms such as records, manuals and instructions are established, that contains all descriptions of tasks for staff timely development. That is why it is proposed to develop a production process manual so that there is an order and structure of the company's documented information, which will serve as an element of consultation, orientation, training and induction of personnel.

    Optimización de rutas para la recolección de residuos sólidos del Cantón Latacunga

    ABSTRACT This research project proposes a routing vehicles with limited capacity (CVRP) methodology, focused on optimizing the current routes of solid waste collection and transportation process loaded by the public cleaning and environmental management company (EPAGAL), which minimizes the operating costs of each route. Initially, activities that are involved in the collection and transport of solid waste are identified, later an analysis of the current situation of the company's routes is carried out, through the collection of information with a GPS, in this way the problem of interest and the mathematical model that represents the solid waste transport problem with its respective restrictions are formulated, then a computer-based procedure is developed, using an exact heuristic for elimination of subtour from Miller Tucker Zemlin (MTZ), to determine a solution to the problem from the model, using the ILOG CPEX Optimization Studio optimization software. Finally, the study defines an optimized distribution system of routes for collection of solid waste with the minimum operating cost, which proposes the application of the model that has been determined in the research, where an average saving of 30.81 percent is obtained that would be the theoretical saving and while the average real saving is 11.51 percent. This is due to the fact that in real life these distances are subject to geographical accidents that make a theoretical approach "in a straight line" totally unreal, therefore all the parameters of the system must be contrasted with an online map provider that returns real data. of the route, in this way the real efficiency of the route that the transport will carry out is ensured. Furthermore, optimization streamlines the work of collecting and transporting solid waste, reduces overtime and reduces environmental impact.

    ABSTRACT Planning systems are joint systems that determine the appropriate means to achieve objectives set by an organization and that are being implemented in companies, such as the planning of the work capacity that establishes the exact number of workers necessary to carry out a certain activity and ensures that the worker is not overloaded or exceeds the leisure time during his working day. As a preamble to the investigation, the current situation of the company is known through direct observation in technical field visits, then a time study is carried out in the packing process which indicates the bag processing capacity for each line, referring to four of the products processed by Bioalimentar Cía. Ltda., considered the most representative by planning department. Finally, the proposed model establishes the operation of the packaging lines with three workers on lines one and four, four workers on line three and five workers on line two, and thus respond to the projected demand for the year 2020, as well as the relocation of workers in the labelling activity increasing the time spent for packing bags by 10 percent.

    Sistema automatizado para el control de flujo de trigo en las tolvas de la Empresa Molinos Miraflores S. A.

    Los procesos de producción de harina, sémola y afrecho provenientes de la molienda de trigo en la empresa Molinos Miraflores S.A. mantienen un bajo nivel de automatización, por lo tanto requieren del control y supervisión constante del personal encargado; uno de los subprocesos que demanda mayor intervención del factor humano y genera más inconvenientes, es el control de flujo y dosificación de trigo desde las tolvas de almacenamiento hacia el proceso de trituración, pues ha ocasionado desperdicios de materia prima, demoras en la producción y ha disminuido la capacidad de fabricación; además el registro de los datos relacionados con la productividad y calidad del producto final es inadecuado e inseguro porque está sujeto a errores relacionados a la toma de datos. Consecuentemente el desarrollo del proyecto contempla el diseño e implementación de un sistema automatizado por medio de una aplicación SCADA (Supervisión, Control y Adquisición de Datos), la cual se orienta a la supervisión a distancia del subproceso a través de una HMI (Interfaz Hombre-Máquina), desarrollada en el software LabView 2011, por otro lado se controla tanto manual como automáticamente los dispositivos de campo como los sensores y actuadores desde la interfaz gráfica o desde el tablero de mando, mediante la programación realizada en el PLC (Controlador Lógico Programable) S7-200, y finalmente, por medio de la adquisición de datos, proporciona y almacena adecuadamente toda la información proveniente de las variables del subproceso la cual facilite el análisis de su comportamiento; con esto se busca que el suministro de la materia prima sea continuo para eliminar los tiempos improductivos y estabilizar la producción, , lo que indica que el proyecto es una oportunidad de mejora que contribuye al desarrollo económico y de la seguridad en la empresa. Abstract The flour, grits and bran production processes that come from wheat milling at Molinos Miraflores S.A. Company keep on a low level of automation, therefore, the processes need a constant supervision and control of responsible person, one process that demand greater involvement of the human factor and generates problems, is the flow control and wheat dosing of wheat since the storage hopper to the triturating process, because it occasioned waste of feedstock, delay in production process and it decreased the manufactory capacity; furthermore, recording data related to the productivity and final product quality is inadequate and insecure because it is subject to errors related to data acquisition. Therefore, this project contemplates the design and implementation of an automated system by means of a SCADA application (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) which aims to supervise to distance the production process through HMI (Human-Machine Interface), which is developed by LabView 2011 software; on the other hand ,it is controlled either manually or automatically the field devices, among field devices are sensors and actuators, using the graphic interface or the control panel, by programming the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) S7-200, and finally it provides and properly stores the whole information from the productive process through the data acquisition; With this project, one seeks a continuous supply and control of wheat to eliminate unproductive time and stabilize production, ,besides it provides of important data which facilitates the analysis of production behavior, indicating that the project is an opportunity for improvement that contributes to the economic and security development of the company.
