Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2023-03) Ortiz Torres, Ludving Renato; Pallo Noroña, Juan PabloCurrently the increase in crime in the city of Ambato is a common factor, according to statistics from the virtual magazine CEDIA, the days with the most criminal situations are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while the peak crime hours range between 12:00: 00 and 5:00 p.m., those are presented with various actions such as: home robbery, vehicle theft, home assault, etc., these situations frequently occur at homes where for reasons of work, study or other activities daily leave their homes unattended, turning them into ideal targets to carry out said criminal act. Faced with this situation, this paper proposes a device that automatically manages access or denial of entry to the home through facial recognition, partially increasing home security. The device proposal also takes into account an important aspect related to electricity consumption, it is common in our homes to leave devices that are not always in use on, with the intelligent assistant it is intended to control the automatic turning off and on of these devices, and thus reducing energy consumption. This control functionality of electrical appliances is also related to the security aspect, through automatic ignition it allows simulating the presence of people inside the home when it is abandoned. For the development of the device, bibliographic research was carried out on works related to home automation and IoT devices such as: control centers, lighting controls, smart plugs and intelligent security devices that allow automatic control to be achieved. With the implementation of the device, a better control of the people who can access the home was modified, and the optimization of electric energy consumption, reducing the value to be paid for electricity consumption
