    Parálisis Supranuclear Progresiva y su influencia con la calidad de vida de la paciente

    Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative disease of unknown etiology first described in 1972 by Steele, Richardson and Olszewsy. Presents with prominent postural instability symptom onset, followed by supranuclear palsy and vertical gaze Parkinsonian symptoms as bradykinesia and rigidity, including cognitive impairment and neuropsychiatric disorders. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the clinical case care should follow the patient with progressive supranuclear palsy. In this paper the case of a female patient of 66 years, married presents, presented the above pathology, same as detected after several doctor visits to different specialists. Information was collected from the onset of the disease until the present time, the evolution of the disease is detailed, complete an assessment is performed and nursing interventions arises to facilitate the care and improvement of quality of life. In conducting the investigation was found to the patient with a high degree of dependence which alter their lifestyle from his illness, nursing interventions were analyzed and the main problems that arose during the course of the disease described while the factors involved in the successful improvement. A descriptive methodology was used in this work because it allowed contact with reality to observe, describe, and control, the purpose of this is to formulate new approaches and provide quality care and warmth, identifying critical nodes and factors risk attributed to trigger the disease.
