Item Diseño de accesorios con tejidos artesanales de la comunidad Salasaca elaborados en el caserío Manzapamba Grande(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Diseño y Arquitectura. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-09-20) Pallo Núñez, Diana Carolina; Betancourt Chávez, Diego GustavoThis project seeks to identify artisanal techniques such as loom weaving of the Salasaca people for the development of a collection of accessories, this is due to the fact that artisans are affected by industrialized companies, which produce at a lower price, this impacts artisans, both in the market and in their daily income. Therefore, applying the artisan weaving techniques in different clothing elements and also incorporating the tapestry technique in the accessories and, in turn, the application of the iconography represented in the tapestries, will allow the generation of additional resources in order to that the community can reposition its crafts. In addition, bibliographic information was collected where it was found that the Salasaca culture develops: imagery products, carpentry, textiles, jewelry. According to the data exposed by the surveys, it was determined what gender to target and their tastes and preferences, also through surveys it is possible to argue about the fabric from start to finish. The accessory design market has changed nowadays, several of the consumers choose to buy sustainable objects and contribute to the care of the environment, some of the fashion designers have made this a world trend by working with skillful craftsmen and merging the craft techniques such as weaving, embroidery, dyeing and important motifs of each culture, to work together and generate added value to their products, therefore fair trade is part of this project, which will allow economic benefits to members of the community and thus, make proposals for functional and structural accessories with finishes that are made with local materials such as natural and animal fiber. In this way, these design proposals are obtained as a result that contribute to the revaluation of the culture and traditions of the Salasaca people so that their fabric can be reflected in modern accessories.
