The present technical project was carried out with the purpose of obtaining the studies and the necessary referential budget for the construction of the metallic structure roof for the "Bolivar" educational unit in order to fulfill the need of covering the sports space from climatic agents. In this project we determined the type of structure that meets the requirements established by the standards currently in force, with the use of specialized software, the structural analysis of the elements was performed and to know their real behavior under the action of the loads; a bibliographic research was conducted and fundamental data were collected to serve as a basis to be used correctly in the study; the most significant investigations were the determination of the soil resistance values to be able to make the foundations and that these do not suffer damages due to deformations, displacements and/or punctures, the determination of the demands of the metallic elements for their analysis of bending, compression and/or moments applied on an infinitesimal element; this thanks to the application of the finite element method that the program performs. Having as a guideline the Ecuadorian Construction Standard in several of its chapters and the foreign codes, AISC-360- 16, ACI-318-14, and AWSD1.1. As a result, the necessary criteria and procedures were acquired to carry out an adequate design of the elements that allowed the construction drawings with their details and finally the general budget and work schedules.

The objective of this study is to preserve the road infrastructure of the Hawai and Alaska roads in the Huachi Grande parish. The need for this project arises due to the accelerated wear of these roads, caused by the constant traffic of heavy vehicles and the significant flow of vehicles towards the nearby parish, this is detrimental to the inhabitants of the sector in terms of health, economy and production. To evaluate the state of the pavement, the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method and deflection measurements using the Benkelman beam were used. On the Hawai road, despite an average PCI of 64, indicating a good condition, a characteristic deflection was observed that exceeds the critical deflection. This suggests possible structural deficiencies, so a total reconstruction was proposed on this road. On the other hand, on the Alaska road, the section proposed for periodic maintenance presents an average PCI of 72, indicating a very good condition and good structural behavior. However, in the second section, where rehabilitation is proposed, the average PCI is 41, indicating a regular condition. This maintenance plan will provide a basis for the parish GAD to manage and plan more effective road maintenance on these roads. With a referential budget of $439,544.46 US dollars, the project will contribute to improving the mobility, accessibility, and connectivity of the Hawai and Alaska roads, promoting the economic, social, and environmental development of the área.

The present research project has as purpose the codification of a specific software for bracing connections or beam-column connections design for steel special concentrically braced frames (SSCBF). It allows us to design in a quick and safe way the simple beamcolumns (bolted) connection, welded beam-column connection, double braced beam column (welded) connection, X brace-beam (welded) connection, simple beam-column (bolted) corner connection, and simple beam-column (welded) corner connection. For the design of the different connections, they were analyzed by ANSI/AISC 341-16 Standards criteria. From it the calculation equations for a design by capacity were taken. For the development of the software, we started with the manual calculation of the different connections, with this the software programming code was developed and at the same time the graphic interface for the visualization of the results was created. For the veracity of the SCBF DESIGN CONNECTION software, the results obtained by the developed software were compared with the manual method; resulting in a margin of error of less than 1.50 percent, thus verifying that the results obtained by the software are reliable.

Concrete, being a very versatile and durable material, has become essential in modern construction, generating a high dependence on this component both in the Ecuadorian industry and worldwide. Statistics show a constant growth in its consumption in Ecuador, which underlines the importance of ensuring an adequate design of the mixtures. Therefore, in our environment the most used methods for dosing are the Optimum Density method, developed by the Central University of Ecuador and the ACI method, of international nature. For this reason, this project was based on the development of a software that integrates these two methods for the design of concrete mixtures, which has been developed through execution in three phases. In the first phase, the bibliographic review on the ACI and Optimum Density methods was carried out, laying the theoretical foundations of the software. In the second phase, the code and an intuitive graphical interface were implemented, shaping the application. Finally, in the third phase, several tests were carried out to verify the efficiency and precision of the software. In this way, the final product was called "Hormigón Maestro" and it is an application that was validated by comparing its results with manual calculations and experimental data available in freely accessible repositories, obtaining an error of less than two percent, which demonstrates its high reliability. In short, this tool is capable of streamlining the concrete mix design process and ensures the accuracy of the results, becoming a valuable resource for civil engineering professionals and students because it optimizes calculation time, provides a dosage expressed in weight and volume, as well as offering templates and guides to facilitate the use of the program.

The purpose of this experimental work is the elaboration of technical specifications, which serve as a guide for the construction of reinforced concrete building. For the development of the project, technical visits were made to buildings in their construction phase, with the complementation of a bibliographical inquiry into books, codes and standards; to contrast the information obtained in the field, with the information obtained from technical documents. Prior to the elaboration of the technical specifications, architectural, structural and hydro sanitary and electrical plans were obtained, with which the necessary items for the construction of the dwelling were determined, which include civil works, coatings, finishes and installations. Each technical specification consists of: description, execution procedure in which the requirements are detailed before, during and after the realization of the item, applied regulations, safety to safeguard the integrity of the workers and the unit, materials, equipment and hand of work. Consequently, the unit price analysis of the item was performed with this information. The final product obtained serves as a guide that provides a concrete description of methods for the execution of the items in compliance with national and international regulations, codes and standards used within the Ecuadorian territory, for adequate control of work both in execution and for review.
