    The present research is focused, in the working conditions and its impact in the frequency and severity indexes of the staff in gestation of Ambato's IESS Hospital, the objective of this research is to identify which are the areas that are most exposed to risks to implement working conditions that help to reduce or eliminate work-related accidents, especially in pregnant women working in the institution, with the help of the frequency and severity indexes, it is possible to keep a detailed control of the accident and, according to its results, take necessary actions to improve these areas. It keeps a qualitative and quantitative approach, the model will fulfill characteristics such as: social, descriptive and correlational; it is a research on a social problem, with the research of the human factor. Based on the analysis, it is proposed to carry out an occupational health and safety management system.
