    Creación de la Unidad de Análisis de Pruebas Físico-Mecánicas para la Prestación de Servicios en La Cámara Nacional de Calzado “CALTU

    Through a systematic schema the venture herein focuses on creating the Analysis Unit for physico-mechanical tests which will benefit both footwear manufacturers in Tungurahua as well as the rest of the country, with the purpose of having trials that meet international and national criteria, such that footwear meets required quality standards. Project funding stems from donations of a Japanese background through agreement with the Ministerio de Industrias y Productividad and contributions from 3 members of the Cámara Nacional de Calzado; from companies such as: Plasticaucho Industrial, Vecachi, and Calzado Gamos. This project addresses Objective 10 from the Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir, which promotes the transformation of production matrix and encourages domestic manufacturers to yield quality products which will circumvent the need to import products and ensures consumption of domestic goods with footwear quality standards equal to those of foreign countries. Trials will allow footwear manufacturers to offer quality products, as producers can perform various tests for materials and wires, pins and leather; as well as tests for finished footwear, bending and wear of rubber and polyurethane soles, uppers and linings discoloration, among others.
