    Nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes de enfermería sobre el triaje en el área de emergencia

    Triage is a tool used by health professionals that allows classifying the degree of urgency according to the symptoms present, in order to reduce the demand for patients in the emergency area and guarantee effective and adequate care, therefore, it is necessary that health personnel have scientific foundations prior to the management of this area. Objective: Analyze the level of knowledge of Nursing students about Triage in the Emergency area. Methodology: This research is a cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach; and, it is based on the data collection through the scale of level of knowledge in the management of Triage in the nursing staff (NICMATRIPE), 120 students of the nursing career of the Technical University of Ambato participated in the study. Results: Within the findings found during the investigation we have that 38% of the students fully agree, that is, they know the definition of triage in a significant way, 24% agree, 16% do not even Conclusions: Nursing students from the Technical University of Ambato have adequate knowledge of the emergency service triage process, which contributes to providing efficient patient care in terms of demand and clinical needs at home. of health.
