    Sistema de comunicación y control de las estaciones de los tanques de reserva de Junta administradora de agua potable de la parroquia Picaihua

    The water purification plants of the Junta Administradora de Agua Potable de la parroquia Picaihua del Cantón Ambato are located on the outskirts of their communities and it is difficult to locate water leaks due to breakdowns or landslides. The Board does not have the necessary number of employees to monitor the potable water service they provide, in addition to the problem of lack of cell phone or internet coverage in these places, so it is necessary to implement a Wireless Communication System for the Monitoring and Control of Tanks. In the proposed research project, a prototype of the communication system of the potable water reserve tank stations is built to allow monitoring and control, so that the "Junta Administradora de Agua Potable" can solve the problems that arise in the shortest possible time and prevent several communities in the sector from having prolonged water outages. For the research work, the NodeMcu ESP8266 card is used as the main controller, because it provides a local or global area communication within a network with MODBUS TCP/IP protocols. On the other hand, the system visualizes and controls data through a graphical interface made in LabVIEW software, located at the main office of the Junta Administradora de Agua Potable de Picaihua. The tests performed with the prototype verify the sending and receiving of data from the water level sensors, as well as the closing and opening of the solenoid valves.
