This research study emphasizes the importance of using information technology to address inventory control issues within Megakons S.A. As a company that manages a wide range of technology assets, optimizing inventory control resources is a key objective, making open source software an excellent alternative. In addition to inventory control, the company aims to streamline processes by minimiz ing the risks of data loss or possible human error during inventory management. To achieve this, research was conducted that led to the adoption of the GLPI tool, a service management manager for IT. The software was deployed on a virtual machine running Ubuntu Server 22.04.2. This virtual machine was created, installed, and configured within the Proxmox virtualization environment. After completing the necessary configurations, essential tools such as Apache, MySQL and PHP were installed to ensure the prope r functioning of GLPI. To accurately record assets, the GLPI Agent was used on each of the company's devices, allowing data to be acquired directly and recorded on the server. This approach ensured accuracy in asset registration and facilitated efficient data collection.
