    El sistema de comunicación terrestre entre los barrios Santán Grande y Colatoa del cantón Latacunga, provincia de Cotopaxi y su influencia en la calidad de vida de los pobladores

    The goal, of which this project was developed to provide a better quality of life for residents of the neighborhoods Santan Grande and Colatoa, Latacunga city. Thus boosting economic and social development of these areas and populations will also benefit from the project. Today the road linking these neighborhoods is not in good condition. The opening has taken place without a previous design and surface course, except for certain sections where there ballasting, it is land. It is therefore necessary under the respective design, existing national rules (MTOP) and international (AASHTO). To start the project a field inspection was conducted to verify the nature and condition of the road, and the opinion of the residents. For this we proceeded with road inventory, quiz at the population and then surveying and sampling for soil analysis was performed. Studies the bearing capacity of the subgrade was obtained. With survey data we proceeded to the horizontal and vertical design and drainage design; data and soil the pavement structure was designed. Finally, a reference budget and the work schedule was drawn valued.
