    The present research project is faced in the “Preference of the conventional treatment opposite to the treatment with medicinal plants in major adults of the Parish President Urbina the Canton Píllaro”. The biggest adults are recognized like persons of the old age who are in the last life stage and although nowadays it is frequent to find major adults with a lot of energy and good quality of life exists a health phase with many illnesses and complaints that can be treated by means of the conventional treatment that there are for chronic illnesses like the osteoporosis, arthrosis and others and by means of the treatment with plants it is possible to relieve acute diseases as a headache, stomach etc. The objective. It is to analyze the preferences of the conventional treatment opposite to the treatment with medicinal plants that there have the biggest adults of the Parish President Urbina the down town Píllaro. The methodology that was used is of quantitative character because numerical values were contributed by means of a survey also it is of qualitative character because it was contributed by the knowledge and the review of articles, books, and scientific magazines determined at descriptive level of investigation and correlational for the link of the variables. The results demonstrated that the biggest adults prefer the treatment with plants for acute diseases and the conventional treatment for chronic illnesses. Conclusion. It was fulfilled by the target to analyze and to verify that they prefer type of treatment and the biggest adults use to improve the health.
