“Calidad de vida y su incidencia en la función sexual femenina”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-05-01) Vaca López, Viviana Gabriela; Bonilla Flores, Flavio Rolando Ps. Cl.
This research aims to determine the relationship between quality of life and female sexual function, attending prenatal check-ups at “Gynecology, Obstetrician, Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy Specialized Center” of Dr. Laura Salame and Dr. Xavier Arellano. The quality of life consists in external and internal conditions. External, related to the social environment and internal related to the human being. Both will provide people a level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their own life and what surrounds them. The GENCAT Quality of Life Scale provides a global result together with the breakdown of eight dimensions: emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, material well-being, personal development, physical well-being, self-determination, social inclusion and rights. On the other hand, the female sexual function is a complement of health and integral well-being of the being. The IFSF Female Sexual Function Index is a battery that evaluates desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain. For the data analysis, the SPSS program was used through the X2 test and the Fisher's exact test. Finding that there is a relationship between the two variables. Identifying that high level of quality of life and lack of sexual dysfunction are related. Affirming that the study of the quality of life and its implications in the female sexual function generates contributions to ratify its importance in psychology and psychotherapy. Finally, it is necessary to standardize the tests to Ecuador since the test were from Chile and Spain.
