Mg.The objective of this research was to relate the nutritional status and associated factors in students of the careers of Nutrition and Dietetics and Mechanical Engineering of the academic period April 2023-September 2024 and to compare the nutritional status of the sixth semester students of both careers, evaluating the nutritional status by bioimpedance and the associated factors through a structured questionnaire of 25 questions with a section to determine each variable. The sample was selected in a non probabilistic manner for convenience, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample size was 80 students, 34 of whom were from the Nutrition and Dietetics program and 46 from the Mechanical Engineering program. It was determined that there is a significant association between nutritional status and the following variables: gender, since male individuals show a higher percentage of fat hypertrophy than female gender; In the course of the career, it is observed that Mechanical Engineering presents a diagnosis of fat hypertrophy and muscle mass deficit, contrary to Nutrition and Dietetics, where it is mostly shown to be normal muscles; The consumption of fast food, because those who do have a large consumption of them show hypertrophy of body fat mass compared to those who do not eat them.
