    Paraplejia Causada por Tratamiento Quirúrgico en Osteomielitis

    The following clinical case studies the condition of a 71-year-old male patient. Who was a worker for about 5 years in a chocolate factory localized in New Jersey- city in U.S. whom presented personal pathological antecedents such as high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, (BPH) Benign prostatic hyperplasia, type 2 mellitus diabetes. Since 8 years of bad medical control, he presents pain, hid shoulder and right knee condition are swelling, fiber was diagnosed at the beginning were he presented septic arthritic, the infection developed through the thoracic spine deteriorating the clinic observation, complicating a vertebral osteomyelitis with an epidural abscess, Spinal cord compression at T3-T6 level, resulting as a paraplegia. The analyze of the patient’s clinic observation, risk factors, critical points were identified and a complementary physiotherapeutic treatment was proposed.
